The Brief
The client was using PrestaShop for their e-commerce site. They have been using it for many years. Their shop became very slow and it was due to the version of PrestaShop that they were using that was not able to update. They wanted a new website that will be faster and also have a fresher look than what PrestaShop gave them. They had thousands of products on their page and many more customer accounts that they were worried about if they make any changes.
Our Approach
WordPress was the way to go, and also implementing WooCommerce for their e-commerce platform. We migrated their PrestaShop database across to WordPress and made sure that their database for their customers, sales orders and products were allocated properly and was similar to how it was previously. We freshened the site, optimised their assets and made sure that it has a good navigation flow.
The Result
The client was happy with the new website and the speed it was running. Although it took them a bit of getting used to (as it was a change of platform), with much assistance and guidance, we managed to get the client comfortable in managing their orders and customers.
